How does proxy slot vs VPN endpoint pricing work?

They are separate billable resources. A proxy slot stores one proxy configuration: protocol, host, port, and credentials. A VPN endpoint is one WireGuard or OpenVPN server listener. Buy exactly what you need of each — five proxy slots with two endpoints, or two slots with five endpoints. The quantities are independent.

Can I reuse one proxy across multiple endpoints?

Yes. Assignments are free and unmetered: one proxy slot can exit multiple VPN endpoints, and an endpoint can be reassigned to a different slot at any time. vpn2proxy never charges per assignment.

What happens if an endpoint has no proxy assigned?

It fails closed. An endpoint without a valid proxy assignment blocks all internet-bound traffic — direct internet egress is never allowed. The same applies when the proxy is invalid, unavailable, or the route cannot be proven safe: traffic is blocked instead of leaked.

How does bandwidth pooling work?

Bandwidth is account-wide: all of your endpoints draw from one shared monthly pool per container (personal or organization). Free includes 5 GB/month; every purchased VPN endpoint adds 20 GB/month — 5 endpoints pool 100 GB, 50 pool 1 TB. On paid plans, usage beyond the pool bills at raw infrastructure cost: $0.01 per GB ($10/TB) with zero markup. The Free pool fails closed at the limit instead of overage-billing, and your proxy provider's own bandwidth terms still apply to your proxies.

What are the Free plan rules?

Free includes 3 proxy slots, 1 VPN endpoint, and 1 concurrent VPN connection, plus organizations and team roles and read-only API access. Proxy configuration changes are limited to one successful change per rolling 24 hours. Assignments, stats, and endpoint management stay available during the cooldown, and paid capacity removes the limit.

Do my proxies need to support UDP?

No. vpn2proxy checks what your provider supports and chooses the safe route. If UDP is unavailable, it is blocked instead of leaked; normal web traffic keeps working.

Does my traffic pass through you?

No. vpn2proxy runs on your host. Your devices connect to your machine, and your machine forwards through your proxy provider. Your traffic does not pass through a vpn2proxy relay.

What do I need to get started?

A Linux machine with a public address and an open UDP port — a VPS, a home server, or a machine you already run. The dashboard guides setup, and a coding agent can configure it for you.

Can I switch proxy providers without touching devices?

Yes. Reassign the endpoint to a different proxy slot in the dashboard. Your devices keep their profiles and start exiting through the new provider.

What about HTTP proxies?

Yes. HTTP CONNECT works for normal web traffic. Traffic that the provider cannot carry is blocked safely rather than sent around the proxy.
